The MWE Centre and Facilities...

Mountain Water Experience, near Kingsbridge, South DevonOur centre is a converted manor farm set in four acres of grounds, amongst rolling Devonshire farmland.

On-site we have an assault course, high wire apparatus, zip line, climbing wall, archery range, playing field and orienteering course.

Ideally situated for both the South Devon coastline and Dartmoor National Park and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), closeby are numerous tidal estuaries, rocky shore-lines, surfing beaches, white water rivers, moorland and climbing crags, all of which create the ideal setting from which to run field study or adventurous activity courses.

The nearest town is Kingsbridge and the closest railway station is at Totnes, (a main stopping point on the line to Plymouth and the West Country).

Facilities:

The Dining Hall
The Dining Hall has seating for up to 40 people and is just the place to start and end your day. There is also a dias that can be used for lectures.

Catering
All meals are prepared in our own kitchen by our resident Head Chef / House Manager. He and his team ensure that all catering and dietary needs are met, producing wholesome, nutritional home cooking. A full-board residential stay includes a cooked breakfast, packed lunch and three course evening meal.

Dining roomAccommodation
The centre is split into two main areas of accommodation: the "Hayloft" and "Yellowstone Park".
The "Hayloft" comprises of twin bedded and 4 bedded bunk rooms, all with washbasin, shaver and power points. This section also has its own showers and is adjacent to the bathroom. "Yellowstone Park" has two dormitories, each capable of sleeping up to 10 people; with the tutor rooms and showers this area is totally self contained. The final dormitory can sleep up to 18 people. All beds have duvets, pillows and blankets (if required). All rooms have fitted carpet, are heated and offer good storage space.

The Centre can accommodate 60+ people in total.
