If travelling off the A38 we have found that some systems take you on an extended journey to get you here so please check your planned route. The best route is to get onto the A381 between Totnes and Churchstow/Salcombe.
Directions from the M5 North of Exeter:
Take the M5 south towards the South West and Exeter then follow the A38 signposts towards Plymouth.
Just after Ashburton take the turn off for Totnes onto the A384. Follow the road all the way towards Totnes.
As you enter Totnes, turn right at the traffic lights onto the A381 for Kingsbridge.
After about 12 miles you come to a roundabout (there is only one roundabout on the road) turn right here.
200 yards on the right is a narrow lane (SLADE CROSS, signposted to Courtlands and Outdoor Activity Centre) turn down here and we are the first entrance on the right.
Directions from Plymouth / Cornwall:
Take the A38 heading towards Plymouth & Exeter.
At the Marsh Mills Roundabout follow the signs for KINGSBRDIGE on the A374 and A379, [this is the road that goes under the A38 flyover, you will pass Sainsbury's Superstore on your Left].
Follow this road towards the city centre, the river is on your left.
Get into the lane marked KINGSBRIDGE, this will lead you onto the A379.
Follow this road for approx. 20 miles passing through Brixton, Yealmpton and Modbury.
When you reach a village called AVETON GIFFORD go right over the roundabout and over the bridge, still following the signs for KINGSBRIDGE.
At the next roundabout turn LEFT, staying on the A379, through the village of CHURCHSTOW.
At the next roundabout bear LEFT picking the signs up for TOTNES A381.
When you reach the crossroads go STRAIGHT-OVER onto the A381 sign posted for TOTNES.
We are down the second turning on the left (Slade Cross) signposted "COURTLANDS & OUTDOOR ACTIVITY CENTRE".
The centre is down the first turning on the right.
