Mountain Water Experience is one of the premier Adventurous Activity and Field Study centres in the South West

 

As a unique company offering a bespoke service to our clients, we are able to offer you and your group some fantastic tailor-made opportunities:

 

 

  Exclusive use of the centre and all facilities for groups of 30+ students            

      (minimum age 8).

  Tailor-made courses developed to meet your individual requirements and         

      budget. All programmes support the delivery of the Key Skills identified in the         National Curriculum 2000.

  Independent and individual attention from start to finish.

  A presentation to your staff, pupils/students and parents is available free of      

      charge.

  Self-run or part self-run / part activity stays, which can include self catering

      facilities.

  Group leaders are welcome to visit our centre to view the facilities on offer

      and talk through your particular requirements (by prior arrangement).

Accommodation: 
All groups are accommodated in comfortable twin bedded or four bunk rooms 
or dormitories. 

The centre is open all year and is able to provide facilities for over 60 persons. 

Catering: Full-board is usually provided: a cooked breakfast, packed lunch and a three course dinner. All meals are prepared using fresh local ingredients to provide balanced, nutritional, home cooked food.

Special diets and food allergies are catered for, so long as we know in advance.

Free places: For every ten pupils/students on your course there is one free staff place available. Pastoral rates available for extra staff not participating in the activities.

Transport: If you wish, we can arrange transport between the centre and the activity sites. We can offer the best and most economical way of getting around once you are here.

Courses & Programs: As each and every course at Mountain Water Experience is unique, we are able to provide you with a program that will meet your requirements and budget. Whether you are looking for full activity or a mixture of activity and field study or self-run we can fit the bill.

Weather: The MWE centre is situated in an area of the UK that offers favourable weather conditions throughout the year for all adventurous activities and field study work.

Staffing: All MWE staff are fully qualified in their fields and are CRB checked.

Legislation and the Outdoors. Activity Centres (Young Persons' Safety) Act 1995

Since 1995 the Activity Centres (Young Persons' Safety) Act has been in place and all providers of outdoor activities to young people under eighteen must undergo an inspection of their operations and be granted a license to continue operating.

Mountain Water Experience has held its license since 18th May 1997

Adventure Activities Authority Licence No.: L4549 / R0359

Mountain Water Experience was formed in November 1996 in response to new legislation brought in by the government to legislate the outdoor activity industry. Mark Agnew, Managing Director, has many years experience as a nationally qualified instructor in the outdoor education industry.
